As one of the CHN’s founding project managers, Carolyn played
a leadership role in defining the structure, policies and process
that propel the project. Areas of responsibility include: managing
a $300,000 pa budget, defining work plans, supervising professional
staff, writing proposals and fulfilling federal reporting requirements.

Crackling
Communications developed and manages this comprehensive lifestyle
and travel site, with monthly updates to a rapidly growing list
of subscribers.
Are
You Losing Control?
One of the major projects undertaken by Crackling Communications
has been the development, publication and marketing of the book,
Are You Losing Control? The Common Sense Guide to Parenting
Teens. The book has won high regard from family life educators
and sales of 4800 copies to date.
BC Council for Families
Over a seven-year tenure as Publications Director, Carolyn developed
44 new publications and produced 30 issues of the magazine Family
Connections. She increased sales from 10,000 items pa to over 200,000
pa, increasing revenue by 700%.
Arts Club Theatre – ENCORE!
Magazine
As the principal audience development tool of the Arts Club Theatre
in its time, ENORE! Magazine was published six times per year with
an average circulation of 133,000 copies per issue. Carolyn was
managing editor and publisher of this time sensitive, deadline driven
publication.
PERC - Perinatal Educational
Resource Communications
The purpose of PERC was to promote improved pregnancy, childbirth
and child development education within the medical community. PERC
produced five internationally-attended conferences in two years,
with up to 700 paid registrants per event. Carolyn was a partner
in this organization with specific responsibilities for: event planning
and budgeting, public and media relations, print production and
evaluation.
