About
the Author
Carolyn
Bergmann Usher
Although
her writing resume runs to multiple pages, Carolyn Bergmann Usher
considers the vibrant good health of her primary research subjects,
to be her most important credential. Now adults, Carolyn's sons
have been both her inspiration and a constant call to humility.
When it comes to raising kids, we never quit learning.
But back to the resume. A professional writer for nearly thirty
years, Carolyn some thirty titles (booklets to brochures) and dozens
of articles in topic areas that cover the family life spectrum:
early childhood development, parenting pre-teens, teen fathering,
parenting teens, family violence prevention, suicide education and
intervention, work and family, parenting through separation and
divorce, non-custodial parenting, stepfamilies, boomerang kids,
and so on.
Carolyn writes from the perspective of one parent to another. Although
her projects are thoroughly researched, she is not a licensed professional
counselor or therapist. She urges parents who think they need it,
to seek the advice and counsel of professionals.
